3rd Test Day1- India ends on high with Rohit scoring his third century of the series

India finishes at 224/3 on the first day of the 3rd test match when the play was called off due to bad light here at Ranchi. Although it was all South Africa who started the proceedings on a high by reducing India to 39/3 in the first session.

But the partnership between Rohit and Rahane took the game away from the SA. Before the day was called off there were still 32 overs remaining to be bowled but bad light and rain didn’t allow to do so.

Rohit is currently on 117 and Rahane is 13 short of his 100. Rohit also became the first ever batsmen to hit more sixes(16) in a test series.
