Men’s IPL 2020 will be played from 19th September and the final will be played on 10th November 2020. The 53-day long tournament will witness 10-afternoon matches starting at 15:30 IST while the evening matches will start at 19:30 IST.
Women’s T20 Challenge will also be held in UAE and will comprise of 3 teams.
This news comes after ICC postponed this year’s T20 world cup. So this makes space for IPL in this calendar year.
Also all matches will be held in bio bubble which means there are severe restrictions on the movement of the players, team members and all people involved with IPL.
All the teams would leave to UAE from India after August 26 and each time will be allowed a maximum of 24 players.
If a player is unwell, replacement will be allowed.
All the sponsors including the Chinese have been retained for this year’s edition.
All teams would play at two to three venues to avoid travel.
